Physical Education (PE)

Physical Education (PE)

In Physical Education (PE) at St Christopher's, every child has two hours of PE each week. All children will experience the six areas of the National Curriculum for PE, taking part in Games, Gymnastics, Dance, Outdoor Adventurous Activity (OAA), Athletics and Swimming, following the Cambridgeshire Scheme of Work.

All of our children spend time developing their basic physical abilities such as running, throwing, jumping, striking and catching as well as their joy of free movement and expression. As they progress through the school, they begin to use these skills, developing a balance of individual, team and competitive activities.

We are part of the Forest Heath Schools Sport Partnership, which allows us to take part in a range of sporting competitions, from football to cheerleading, enabling our children to gain those first experiences of competitive sport.
